Sunswap

Future of Transport Refrigeration

User-friendly approach

Sunswap provides state-of-the-art temperature-controlled logistics solutions for the transportation industry. Mint collaborated together with Qt Group’s Professional Services and the Sunswap team to create an intuitive user interface for their embedded cooling device, which controls and monitors temperature within cargo containers in trucks.

The goal was to ensure efficient temperature management, user-friendly control, and real-time monitoring of cargo conditions during transportation. The target was to design an easy-to-use interface that can be operated by truck drivers and logistics personnel, who may not have extensive technical knowledge.

We created wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize the user interface and gather feedback from stakeholders. This iterative process allowed us to refine the design. The development was done by Qt Group’s Professional Services. We used Qt Design Studio to boost the design and development workflow.

The UI displays temperature data, allows setting temperature thresholds, and sends alerts in case of deviations. The interface incorporates a user-friendly touch screen with clear temperature adjustment controls. The design prioritizes simplicity, ensuring that anyone can operate the device.

Conclusion

The UI design project for the embedded cooling device in cargo containers has contributed to Sunswap’s mission to revolutionize temperature-controlled logistics. The user-centric approach and intuitive interface design have significantly improved temperature control and cargo safety, ensuring a seamless experience for truck drivers and logistics professionals for the world’s first purpose-built battery and solar powered transport refrigeration unit.
